I have proposed that every week I will write a text in English. The most difficult part of English and of all languages ​​in general is the writing. For that reason I want to practice and be able to improve this skill. For this I have looked for different resources that can help me to be able to write a good writing. I have found videos where they give you advice on how to write an essay, write an email, etc. All resources are adapted to my level of English, B1 or pre-intermediate. I think you have to take advantage of the Internet as a learning tool and you can find many things to improve your English level little by little.To practice writing for the exam, what I will do is set myself 50 minutes to do the writing and learn to reduce the words little by little and only explain the most important. I think this exercise will help me a lot to improve my agility when writing. It can also help me to gain confidence in myself to be able to write alone without the help of the translator ever...

This week I started doing grammar exercises from a book that I picked up at the library. In this book there are different theory and practical exercises for each section. Learning grammar is very good to have a theoretical base about English, to know how to make sentences with their verb tenses and use expressions that can be useful to communicate. A CD-ROM is included in this book so that you can also practice listening comprehension in English. The truth is that it is a very complete book that is helping me to learn more in English and put the knowledge into practice. I recommend that you take books in the library to practice grammar and improve the language!

Today I went to the library and I have taken different Speak Up magazines to read at home. In each of them there are different interesting topics, there is a CD to listen to the pronunciation of the words and also a reading book usually comes but I have not taken it because I already have the reading book to read this month. It is a magazine to learn English in a more entertaining way, where there are simple and short texts. Even so, you can learn a lot of new vocabulary and phrases that can be useful to you. Usually the magazine deals with current affairs or recent events. It also has a small notebook inside with exercises to practice the language. The truth is that the content is very interesting and at the same time you learn a language. I encourage you to read magazines in English, it is an entertaining and simple way to learn English.

This week in class we have done the prefixes of the adjectives that have a negative meaning. I was curious to know more about this and I have searched for information and I have found more adjectives with these prefixes to be able to know how they are classified. I have made a list of all of them in the notebook so I can have more resources to consult in my notes in case I need it. I have also found exercises online to better work these adjectives. I have even seen that there are nouns and verbs that have these prefixes "un-", "im-", "il-", "ir", "dis-" and "in-" and then I have also written them down in the notebook to remember me better. We have also given the third conditional and to better understand the difference between all the conditionals I have been watching a YouTube video where a girl explained everything very well and I have understood it better. Today I went to look for the reading book that we have to read this month in the reading corner of the municipal library of my town. The book is called "Beloved" and its author is Toni Morrison. This book contains 275 pages and for me it is a great challenge to read it. Once we finish reading the book, at the end of the month we will make a video call to comment on aspects of the book such as what it consists of, what characters there are and what happens throughout the story and explain how it ends. We can also share things that have caught our attention and that we want to explain to others. This reading corner is very good because in addition to practicing reading comprehension, we learn new vocabulary and when making the video call commenting on the book what we do is practice communication and listening comprehension. Today I have taken the dictionaries that I borrowed from the library and I have been making a list of all the vocabulary in a notebook in order to have more resources to be able to speak or write in English. I have not had time to write everything but the truth is that I have learned a lot because there were new words that I did not know before. It is a way of learning by reading and writing the word. Once I have written the words, I have listened to the pronunciation of some words on the Youglish website, which is very useful for practicing and improving oral comprehension of words and their pronunciation. Next I share the photos of the dictionaries that I have used. I have also learned expressions in English for travelers that I have taken from a guide to converse.  

Today I have decided to do listening exercises to practice listening comprehension more, since it is one of the most difficult aspects of English for me. I need to listen a lot to people speaking in English to get used to the language and better understand what they are saying. That is why I have thought that it is better to start with short videos with questions and different answer options to practice the listening exercises and to be able to better prepare for the final exam. Little by little, with the videos I will acquire new vocabulary and expressions that I did not know before in order to have more resources to use when speaking or writing a text. If I start by reading or listening to people speak, I will be able to improve my understanding, I will acquire sentence structures and thus I will be able to improve when it comes to speaking and writing.
