Today in the afternoon my partner Jordi and I made a video call on Zoom to practice English. First we have been talking for a while to get to know each other better. Then we have read a text in English. Each of us read a paragraph and then translated it between the two of us. There were words that we did not understand and we have searched for them in Google Translator and we have written them down in the notebook along with their translation into Spanish. At the end of each text there were some questions to answer to practice reading comprehension and memory. Then we have encouraged ourselves and we have read another text and we have also answered the questions. When we have finished, we have discussed aspects of English that are difficult for us and we have given each other tips to learn the language better. To practice, to be able to improve my level of English and lose the shame of speaking, I decided together with my classmate Jordi to be able to have conversations in English via WhatsApp to practice written communication and also to work on verbal communication, we said to make video calls every week. I think it is a good opportunity to be able to help each other and to learn from each other. The best way to improve the language is by practicing and testing ourselves, when we make mistakes and learn from mistakes. I imagine that it will be easier and easier to communicate in English. At first it is difficult because we do it thinking about the translation from English to Spanish but over time it will come out more naturally.

Today I have decided to set the mobile phone settings in English so that I can practice the language every day when I use the mobile. The words that I used to see in Spanish, now I see them in English and I can intuitively know what they mean. If every day I see the words written in English, I will automatically incorporate them in my mind and they will already be part of my knowledge. I think it's a good way to get used to English vocabulary and grammar.

Today I have decided to download different applications on my mobile to learn and improve my level of English. I think that the applications are a good resource to learn English in an entertaining and fun way. For learning to take place there needs to be interest and I think that when you enjoy it or someone is interested in doing something, you learn more. So for this reason I have decided to download applications of all kinds, from games, to radio applications with sound, to read news, even to be able to converse with native speakers. In this way, I test my knowledge and acquire more vocabulary and grammatical structures. It's a good way to start improving your level! Encourage you to try it!   Today's task has consisted of watching different videos in English from YouTube. Some of them were with subtitles and some without. The intention of this activity is to be able to adapt to listening to spoken English in order to improve my oral understanding of the language and thus be able to improve my level of English little by little. First you have to start by watching short videos so that the learning is better and the content does not become too heavy or it takes so long because in the end you do not learn so much and little by little and watch series and complete films to be able to improve the level further.  Today I have decided to watch a movie that I had previously seen so that I can more easily understand the content of the conversations. I wanted to start doing it like this since I am not used to seeing series or movies in their original version (English) and in this way I am adapting to listen to more conversations in English. The movie I have chosen is Dirty Dancing since it is a movie that I saw years ago but I loved it because it is a love story and I am a big fan of the romantic genre. I think that if something motivates you to watch, this is how you learn more, naturally.
