MY ARTDOSSIER

Today I have taken the dictionaries that I borrowed from the library and I have been making a list of all the vocabulary in a notebook in order to have more resources to be able to speak or write in English. I have not had time to write everything but the truth is that I have learned a lot because there were new words that I did not know before. It is a way of learning by reading and writing the word. Once I have written the words, I have listened to the pronunciation of some words on the Youglish website, which is very useful for practicing and improving oral comprehension of words and their pronunciation. Next I share the photos of the dictionaries that I have used. I have also learned expressions in English for travelers that I have taken from a guide to converse.  

Today I have decided to do listening exercises to practice listening comprehension more, since it is one of the most difficult aspects of English for me. I need to listen a lot to people speaking in English to get used to the language and better understand what they are saying. That is why I have thought that it is better to start with short videos with questions and different answer options to practice the listening exercises and to be able to better prepare for the final exam. Little by little, with the videos I will acquire new vocabulary and expressions that I did not know before in order to have more resources to use when speaking or writing a text. If I start by reading or listening to people speak, I will be able to improve my understanding, I will acquire sentence structures and thus I will be able to improve when it comes to speaking and writing. This morning I went to the library in my town to see what books there were to learn English. And then I have found books of all kinds: some are on grammar, others adapted with expressions for travelers, others with listenings and transcriptions and I have also picked up a couple of magazines in English: one of them is Speak-Up which comes with one built-in CD and the other is a magazine produced in Catalonia called Catalonia today where current news in the territory is discussed. In addition, I have taken a classic dictionary to learn more vocabulary and a visual dictionary in which images of different objects, people, animals and plants appear with their respective names. I have proposed that every day I will start working with these resources to be able to notice that I improve my English language. I have taken many books but I will extend the deadline to have them and thus be able to practice until the end of the course, in order to better prepare for the final level exam. I hope I ...

Today I have decided to learn English in a different and entertaining way. I've been looking for podcasts of different levels to learn more about English. But ... What is a Podcast? A Podcast is a periodic digital audio or video publication that can be downloaded from the Internet. It is simply a customizable and downloadable radio program that can be mounted on a website or blog, even on popular platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud or Ivoox, among others. I think it is good to listen to Podcasts because you can improve listening comprehension, get used to trying to understand what they say even if they speak fast, learn new vocabulary, and get used to understanding what they say without the help of subtitles, just understanding what they are talking about in context, It is not necessary to understand all the words although if you identify them it is much better.
